All Mini’s, and entry level 9 year olds swim in this group. Our primary focus is that kids have fun with swimming and learn basic skills that will form the backbone of their swimming careers as they get older. These skills include, but are not limited to, streamlining, good kicking, proper technique, turns, and good breathing habits. On occasion, some 8 year olds may swim with Blue I on Mondays and Saturdays. This gives the swimmer a little more challenge from time to time and also prepares them for when they turn 9 and move into the group.

Similar to the White group, the basics of competitive swimming will be introduced and enhanced. There is usually a range of ages and ability levels found here. To accommodate all levels, swimmers are broken down into groups with similar ability levels. Seasoned swimmers will be challenged considerably more than newer and / or entry level swimmers. All four competitive strokes will be taught. Swimmers will be introduced to training concepts and goal setting. Meets are strongly encouraged. From this group swimmers typically move into either Blue II or Red I.
